Kar Wei developed a keen interest in psychology when she was still in high school, at the age of 16. She then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at INTI Subang College, with a completion of internship in MY Psychology.
Kar Wei has also obtained her Master of Clinical Psychology from University of Cyberjaya (UoC). During her practicum, Kar Wei was placed under the Chronic Pain Clinic in Hospital Selayang to provide psychological support to the patients. Other than that, she was also placed in Genius Kurnia where she provided psychotherapy and psychological assessments for children, teenagers, adults, and elderly.
Currently, Kar Wei is working closely with a preschool to support children, parents, and educators in the growth and development of young children. She had experiences conducting workshops in helping parents and educators in children's behavioral and emotional management, fostering healthier family dynamics and promoting effective parenting strategies.
She employs a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the needs of her clients, which includes the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
